What’s New?
Okay, here we are again!
Who, besides me is annoyed at these heat waves going on?! I mean, hellooooooooo, I moved to Washington because Arizona is too hot. Also, we are trying to grow some grass, so what the heck?! Stop it!
Something I want to share is one of the activities we did last month for Franklin's birthday. Mom and I went to the store and bought a bunch of random kids toys --hula hoops, pinwheels, chalk, footballs, bouncy balls, stickers, bubbles and a bunch of other stuff. We live in a neighborhood with a lot of kids of all ages, so we picked a few days to put the toys out in the front yard for them. It was fun to look out the window and see kids running around with bug nets (and they still have been) and random toys the last few weeks. Plus I got a super nice reply from one of the parents with a picture of all the kids saying "thank you". (I was going to post a that picture, but I haven't asked any of the parents. So I figure, to be respectful of privacy, I will not post it. However if you want to see, I am happy to show you) Anyways, we enjoyed it :)
Another highlight of Franklin's birthday are these lovely gifts…
From left to right ~~ 1. Wind chimes from mama and dad ~~ 2. Wind chimes from Mariah ~~ 3. A flower bouquet made by Riannon, along with balloons, cookies and dinner! ~~
I also woke up to a very sweet message from a dear friend wishing Franklin a happy birthday! Annnnnnnd I had a number of other messages recognizing our little angel that day!
And lastly, about Mr. Franklin's birthday…the timing worked out perfectly that we had a visit from one of our favorite aunt/uncle duo's from California the day before we left on vacation. We haven't had a chance to catch up with them for a while, so we met them for dinner at a yummy place downtown and then spent the evening chatting. It was a much needed visit!
Franklin is also getting closer and closer to being a big brother. We have been busting our butts to get through adoption paperwork. We had our home study visit this past week. We have been adding more decorations to the nursery. Mom has been buying us more baby clothes (her current favorite part about shopping). And we only need a few more pictures to complete our profile book. So, little baby Henninger #2, here we come!
