Cerebral Palsy Guide
We recently received an email from a patient help advocate at the Cerebral Palsy Guide. I have been reading through the content and it has TONS of useful information.
Since we are all about education here at Forever Franklin’s Family, we have added it to our Resources page, in the section labeled Guidelines and Foundations. And I have specifically made a link, just underneath the main site, that will direct you to their recommended support groups and organizations.
Here is a quick bit on information regarding the Cerebral Palsy Guide per their site…
“According to the CDC, about 1 in 6 children between ages 3 to 17 will have one or more developmental disabilities. Cerebral palsy is a developmental motor disability that affects movement and posture. It can be caused by abnormal brain development or damage to the developing brain. Cerebral Palsy Guide is a national support organization dedicated to educating individuals and their families about cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities. We strive to provide answers and guidance to ensure that families receive the assistance they need to help improve their overall quality of life.”
If you are at all like me and would like to take a little bit of time to peek through this resource, then I would suggest taking a look at the Blog Page in the drop-down menu “About Us” — and/or — the Prognosis/Life Expectancy information in the “Cerebral Palsy” drop-down.
Please feel free to share this information with family and/or friends!
Thanks for reading :)
