October 15, 2021

Today is actually Friday, the 15th. A lot of the time when I sit down to write, it is a few days after I have thought of something because I have been at work, or just simply think I will remember it later (and then I forget).

This morning and last night I have spent HOURS writing names of babies gone too soon to post in our front window. Last year I was really sad to see October the 15th pop up. I was still very much in my anger/sadness mode where nothing really mattered. And I do still get that way, but not as often, which is nice.

A few days ago, I was on one of our FB pages and saw a post that a fellow mama was making banners that had names of babies gone too soon on them. I kind of skimmed past it not really thinking about it. (I tend to get more caught up in learning about stories of other families.) It wasn't until I saw another post for October 15th that I realized...other than myself, Josh, a few close family members, and whoever looks at Forever Franklin's Family, his name won't ever get talked about. He won't have it announced in pamphlets for special achievements or announced at graduations. So I decided to submit his name to a few of the posts and do the same honor for other families, knowing how much they would love it too.

It wasn't until a little bit last minute, but I got as many people as I could reach. Babies that just left us a few months ago or even a few days ago…back to those who left us back in the 80s! Also, I have a weird love for making lists, and this definitely was in that realm.

Thank you to a few of you who took time this year to light a candle for Franklin. We had family over for dinner, set up his candles in the backyard, and hung out on our patio under the overhang for a while. It didn't rain. It wasn't windy (almost spooky silence) and it was warm enough to just be comfy in sweatshirts and pants (yoga pants for me of course). We also turned Niagra Falls on our tv and aimed it at the window so we could enjoy that while outside too!

Thank you to all that have bought pins so far! If you know anyone else interested, please pass along the information! Or if you would like to help sell some, that would be awesome too! Just shoot me an email (mom@stillborn-hellp.com) and we can get get them to you!
