In 2020, our family experienced the both the blessing and the trauma of having our first child, Franklin. In the 7th month of carrying our angel, I quickly developed HELLP syndrome, resulting in hemorrhaging and a placental abruption. Franklin was stillborn via emergency c-section and was delivered straight to Heaven.
There are no rules, guidelines or “right ways” of figuring out where to go from there. The grief is confusing and complex. And there just aren’t enough resources or support systems to help families navigate the rough waters.
We want to share Franklin’s story and turn it into something that can impact someone, somewhere. We want to help validate feelings. We want to bring awareness to stillbirth, miscarriage and infant loss. And we want to show you that it is possible (but not easy) to keep going.
